I was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and came to the US at age 18. Unfortunately, I do not have any photographic memories of my childhood days in Bolivia. In 1993 I became a father for the first time, my son Logan proceeded my daughter Alexis by four years. I decided as a young father to ensure my kids had photographs of their childhood in this great country, a chronology of their lives that they could one day share with their own children. My daughter became a cheerleader in high school and I took the opportunity to start capturing images of her with my Nikon D90. Parents from the team began asking me to photograph their children as well. Shooting from the sidelines I met John Peery, senior editor for Apopka newspaper. Perry hired me to shoot some games for the paper that season, and so began my professional photography career. I named my business AGO action photos (Alex Gustavo Olivera) and it has become my mission to provide quality images at affordable prices. For the last three years I have been blessed to have the opportunity to work for Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports. Shooting for Disney, I have experience capturing a wide variety of sports images, to include Football, Baseball, Basketball, Gymnastics, Marathons, Cheer and many more sports. I am constantly improving my work by approaching photography from different angles, different light, and different composition. As a result of my constant desire to challenge myself, I am always open to new and different opportunities. Recently I was selected to photograph games in Orlando for the Copa America Centenario, and NFL game for Vavel USA this was quite an honor.
